Cleveland 2

PREP DAY!

Bought supplies, made lists, perused audiobooks, etc! Calm day, but what a nice vacation this is starting out as!

FYI: Don't feign interest in an Ann Coulter audiobook in public. We were informed that she's coming out with a new book VERY SOON, and it's going to be amazing. thanks, balding jewish republican (complete with suspenders)!

Laura loving all over Poussan!
Poussan, here, appreciates a good smother.

STEAKS.

It took a little while to properly light the grill. Old charcoal is a giant hurdle in the greatest of all American sports.

Target boasts a wide selection of plasticized anime hair this Halloween season. Here, Laura sports a Wilma 'do.

Laura really wants me to impersonate Elvis when we get to Graceland. I'm pretty sure it's old hat by now.

All of these "wigs" were way too small for my bulging noggin.

Laura, evidence of cherry pie, Frida.

Looking content with a side of gangsta.

The Ben's

Twins

Why is Ben Kuester so excited?

Ms. Volk decided to be in town with her boyfriend Brad for a Cleveland Indians game today and so began our road trip 2.2 miles to brunch at Tommy's restaurant in Cleveland Heights. The brunch was spectacular the group's favorite being "Homos" more commonly known as Hummus when spelled correctly.

Cleveland

Hey guys,

Welcome to our hastily-created blog for our road-trip! We just finished having brunch with Lacey and her boyfriend Brad (who is very cool and loves fat guys) and decided we'd set up a blog before we depart.

I just got to Cleveland, OH yesterday around 7pm, after driving from my home in Mount Airy, MD and have been having a ton of fun since the moment I arrived. Greeted by an ecstatic duo of Laura and Ben K. (who is visiting Laura currently from Chicago, IL), we immediately got down to business eating--well seasoned potatoes and Italian sausage--probably one of our last meals that won't come on a diner plate or wrapped in plastic! I bet you didn't know this was going to be a food blog, too. Well you're in luck because it's a two-fer. Bonus material provided by both Laura and me.
Anyway, so Laura and Ben K. are both packing up right now; Ben K. for his bus ride back to the jewel of the Midwest, and Laura for the time of her life. It's hard to prepare for that. I just included as much entertainment as I could come up with, and some cold-weather clothing. Call me a walking disaster. Speaking of which, Laura apparently read her horoscope for the near future and it said something to the effect of, "Avoid travel, serious health risk, etc. etc. monsters, etc." end quote. So it's clear destiny will be fulfilled.

Check back here often for updates and pictures of our fantastic journey, and please feel free to comment with suggestions of place to go, things to eat, etc. We'll keep you posted about the monsters.
